American actress Jennifer Aniston has recalled one of the funniest and most memorable moments of her career, which came from the series Friends . The actress, who played Rachel Green for ten seasons, confessed that filming that episode was "one of the best moments of my life."
In an interview with Vanity Fair, Aniston recounted that the "English trifle" sequence was funny because her character made a mistake while following a recipe, when the cookbook pages stuck together and she ended up combining custard, jam, and... beef. The result, which in the show provoked disgusted reactions from Monica ( Courteney Cox ) and Ross ( David Schwimmer ), in reality generated unrelenting laughter among the cast members, to the point of having to retake takes for laughs.

The actress fondly recalled how Matt LeBlanc , true to the spirit of Joey Tribbiani, ate the dessert without pretending , while Schwimmer uttered his now iconic phrase: "It tastes like feet!" The improvisation and the complicity of the team gave rise to another of the most memorable lines of the series: "How could I not like it? Custard? Good. Jam? Good. Meat? Gooood."
For Aniston, the scene is "the gift that keeps on lasting" because of the number of times fans mention and celebrate it. Beyond the anecdote, the actress emphasized that the episode was a perfect example of the chemistry that united the Friends cast, which she described as a true family.
"It was like catching lightning in a bottle," she said, emphasizing that a television project rarely manages to connect with audiences in such a way and remain alive in the collective memory decades later. According to her, filming something similar again wouldn't have the same effect, because that moment was unrepeatable.
